Prep Roundup: Lenawee Christian volleyball sweeps Adrian
ADRIAN — The top volleyball team in Division 4, Lenawee Christian, traveled to Adrian High School Wednesday for a match against the Maples a day after sweeping play at the Tecumseh quad.
The Cougars picked up the non-conference sweep, 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.
LCS (12-2) senior Isabelle Kirkendall recorded her 1,000th kill in the victory against the Maples (9-3-1).

Glenn Christansen, LCS: We had 36 kills tonight as a team, our passing and hitting were the keys to our victory tonight against a very good Adrian team.
Kerry Davis, Adrian: We had some good moments tonight but LCS had more of them. We saw some areas we need improvement but LCS is definitely tough and a fun match to play.

Addison 3, Hanover Horton 1
HANOVER — The Panthers picked up a Cascades Conference win as they topped the Comets in four sets, 25-21, 25-19, 27-29, 27-25.
It was an exciting match as Addison went up 2-0, but Hanover-Horton came charging back with a marathon win in Set 3 before forcing the Panthers to need extra points again to finish the match out in Set 4.

Barbara Brown, Addison: The girls showed determination and fight to hold them off. Laci Patterson and Kahlen Wheaton did a great job slowing down hits at the net, Lexi Patterson was excellent at running our offense as our setter and at playing defense. Molly Brown and Elie Clark were both impressive in the back row. Molly Brown and Emily Hicks were big at the net with many kills.

CROSS COUNTRY
Springport Invite
SPRINGPORT — Onsted traveled to the Springport Invite where the girls won by 26 points with Emmry Ross and Kara Terakedis leading the pack yet again while the boys took third.
The Wildcats' girls team finished with 25 points, 26 clear of second place Union City. Brody Amthor and Mitchell Hiatt led the Onsted boys as they took fifth and sixth respectively.
The Wildcats' boys finished with 85 points to trail Hanover-Horton (29) and Jonesville (77).

Onsted IGL Jamboree
MANITOU BEACH — The Wildcats hosted the Independent Golf League Jamboree at Devils Lake where Lenawee Christian continued to top the league.
LCS posted a team score of 177 to lead Columbia Central (182), Clinton (215), Onsted (242), Hillsdale (261) and Hudson (262). Madison and Concord competed, but didn't have enough golfers for a team score.

Tecumseh SEC Tri
TECUMSEH — The host squad took third at the tri-meet at Tecumseh Country Club with a score of 230 while Chelsea shot a 203 and Ann Arbor Pioneer won with a round of 166.
The Pioneers took the top four spots on the day while Lucy Whelan was Tecumseh's top golfer as she took fifth overall.
