PREP ROUNDUP: Niceville boys soccer, FWB girls basketball garner big wins

PENSACOLA — It took the Fort Walton Beach girls basketball team four tries to beat Pine Forest last year.

This year, Mercedez Claybrone's crew didn't wait for the playoffs to fell the rival Eagles. Building off the momentum of last year's Sweet 16 win, the Vikings rode 18 points from Sam Sherer and 10 points from both Madison Snowden and Paris Smith to Monday's 53-43 non-district win in Pensacola.
