PREP ROUNDUP: North Bay Haven shuts down Tornadoes, 5-0

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Megan Meyer scored two goals to help lead North Bay Haven to a 5-0 victory over Bay High on Monday night at Gavlak Stadium.

Marisol Varela, Lauren Holmes, and Allie Harshbarger all scored goals as well for the Buccaneers (3-0-1), while Felcia Freche provided two assists. Ashlynn Purser also had an assist. Kylie Canone led the Tornadoes (2-3) with 20 saves.

Bay will next play Wednesday at Marianna. North Bay Haven will play Pensacola Catholic on Wednesday at Bozeman.

Mosley 7, Fort Walton Beach 0

SAND HILLS — Zamiyah Hill scored all seven goals to lead the Dolphins (4-1) to the victory. Jessy Langston provided three assists w hile Haile Hallmon had two assists and Toni Clark one assist.

Mosley is next scheduled to play at Niceville on Wednesday.

Boys soccer

Arnold 5, Choctaw 0

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Edwin Lopez scored two goals to lead the Marlins (4-0-1), while Quinton Hotop, Hunter Griffin, and Tu To each added goals as well.

Ridge Hatton was the top playmaker with two assists, while Braden Masker, Landon Ullman, and Gavin Chester had assists as well.

Arnold was scheduled to host North Bay Haven on Tuesday night.

Girls basketball

Bay 65, Holmes County 59

PANAMA CITY — Samiyah Smiley had 23 points and nine rebounds while Lisa Lopez added 22 points to lead the Tornadoes (3-4) past the Blue Devils (1-3). Tyasia Yarrell added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Bay was scheduled to next play at Marianna on Tuesday night. Holmes County was set to play at Central on Tuesday.
