Prep Track: HLWW sweeps Wright County quad

May 18—HOWARD LAKE — Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted swept its home Wright County Conference track and field quadrangular on Monday.

The Laker girls finished with 111 points, beating second-place Litchfield's 64. The two teams finished 1-2 in the boys' meet, too, as HLWW had 176 to Litchfield's 34.

The Dragons' Ellie Brown won a track and field event, taking first in the 200-meter dash (30.66 seconds) and the triple jump (31 feet, 2.5 inches). Also winning for Litchfield were: Emily Peterson (long jump, 14-9); and Sydney Jackman (shot put, 33-2).

The Litchfield boys were led by thrower Landon Wagner, who took the top spot in discus (136-6) and shot put (46-10).
