President Biden, First Lady to visit North Carolina for ‘Friendsgiving’ with military

The Bidens are coming to North Carolina next week for early Thanksgiving celebrations, the White House announced Wednesday.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are heading to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point on the coast of North Carolina to celebrate a “Friendsgiving” dinner with servicemembers and military families.

According to the White House, the Bidens will be in North Carolina on Monday.

It’s not the only Carolina connection to Thanksgiving on Monday. Biden is taking part in the traditional turkey pardon ceremony, and the two turkeys being pardoned were raised at Circle S Ranch in Monroe, according to NC State.

Full details haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll update this article if the Bidens plan to make any other stops around the Tar Heel State.
