President Joe Biden kicked off his State of the Union address Tuesday lamenting the fact that his wife is going to the Super Bowl in Arizona and he will not.

"By the way, Mr. Chief Justice, I may need a court order," Biden jokingly said as began to deliver his prime-time remarks to Congress. "She gets to go the game .... next week, I have to stay home. Got to work something out here."

The NFL's Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will meet Sunday in Super Bowl 57 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

First lady Jill Biden said Friday she will attend the Super Bowl.

JIll Biden, a die-hard Eagles fan, last visited Arizona in March 2022, when she toured an Intel plant in Chandler and discussed its partnership to train workers with the Maricopa County Community College District.

During a visit on Friday to the USS Gabrielle Giffords, which is docked in San Diego, Jill Biden chatted with two people about the Eagles.

"I'm going. I'll wave to you at the game," she said.
