President Joe Biden is set to visit West Columbia, South Carolina July 6, Thursday, according to a White House press release.

Biden's latest visit, which will be held at a manufacturing company, Flex LTD, will focus on his economic track record in lowering inflation rates and adding nearly 400,000 jobs to the American workforce.

Recently, the Biden administration announced a deployment of investment to increase Broadband access. The $42.45 billion grant program will be created in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and administered by the Department of Commerce.

Biden's visit comes days after his leading opponent Donald Trump arrived in Pickens and vowed retaliation against Democrats and the Biden administration for the indictments and federal charges circling the former president's candidacy.

Bidenomics? President tells Americans why his policies are good for their pocketbooks

A pitstop in South Carolina holds consequential value for a presidential candidate. Earlier this year, Democrats voted to bump the Palmetto state up on the calendar to host the first-in-the-nation Democratic primary to elevate the voices of Black voters.

Black voters were crucial in springing Biden forward in the 2020 presidential election. After lagging behind candidates such as U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT in the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses, Biden regained momentum after U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn, D- S.C., campaigned for him.
