Prey star Amber Midthunder lands next lead movie role

Prey actress Amber Midthunder has landed the lead role in an exciting new project — a new festive action rom-com titled Naughty.
While plot details are currently being kept under wraps, 20th Century Studios — the same studio behind Midthunder's hit Predator spin-off Prey — has acquired the original feature pitch from writer Siena East.
East will write the script, which is being described as a romantic comedy set during the Christmas period with a heavy dose of action, while Midthunder will star in the lead role.

There is currently no director attached but Midthunder will serve as executive producer alongside Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson.
Midthunder was a breakout star last year after starring in the lead role of Prey, which followed a Comanche Nation warrior protecting her tribe from Predators in 1719.
The movie was well received by both critics and fans, while Jesse Ventura, who was a star of the original Predator film, gave the movie a great review. Calls for a sequel quickly started and, earlier this year, Midthunder herself spoke about such a possibility.

"I don’t have a date for you. This is not an announcement but I’m not saying it’s not. We talk all the time about all kinds of things and that was probably one," Midthunder said.
"I’m ready. I loved that experience. I love that movie. I would be happy to, you know, see where else we can take it."
Prey is streaming on Disney+, where you can also watch Predator, Predator 2, and Predators.
