Prices Are Out for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD Pickups

All dual-wheel Silverado HD models equipped with the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V-8 and Allison 10-speed automatic transmission are capable of towing more than 30,000 pounds across the entire model range.
All models get trailer tow mirrors as standard; for the ultimate in towing confidence, there's an optional camera system enabling 15 different views.
Chevrolet has released pricing for the 2020 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD pickups. Due to the seemingly unlimited number of cabs, beds, powertrains, trim levels, and option choices on offer, arriving at a specific price is best left to the buyer and the Chevrolet configurator. That said, here's a rundown of some of the most popular configurations that will help bring the pricing exercise into focus.
Available in Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country trims, the 2020 Silverado HD pricing hierarchy leads off with the $35,695 Silverado 2500 regular-cab long-bed Work Truck equipped with the new 401-hp 6.6-liter V-8 and an upgraded six-speed automatic transmission. Stepping up to the midlevel LT trim (the regular-cab, long-bed 2500 and 3500 trucks are only available in WT and LT trims) will add $2900 to the bottom line for a base MSRP of $39,595.
Moving up to the crew-cab, short-bed 2500 with single rear wheels, arguably one of the most popular configurations, the base pricing sorts out as: Work Truck, $39,895; Custom, $42,395; LT, $43,395; LTZ, $52,095; and High Country, $62,695. Opting for a long bed raises the price by $200 across the board: Work Truck, $40,095; Custom, $42,595; LT, $43,595, LTZ, $52,295; and High Country, $62,895.
Chevrolet has not yet revealed the premium for selecting the Duramax diesel engine and the 10-speed Allison transmission with the 2020 Silverado 2500HD, but it was a $9395 upcharge in the 2019 model year.
Pricing for the big-dog one-ton Silverado 3500 follows a similar path. The regular-cab long-bed pickup in Work Truck trim with single rear wheels starts at $36,895; moving to the LT trim brings the MSRP to $40,795. Jumping to the crew-cab, long-bed 3500 with dual rear wheels, the price falls in place as: Work Truck, $42,495; LT, $45,995; LTZ, $54,695; and High Country, $65,295. (There's no Custom version of this model.)
