Pride month in CT: Billy Porter, RuPaul contestants, arts, history, parades, concerts and drag

LGTBQ rights, drag queens, transgender people and inclusive literature are in peril all across the country. This makes Pride Month that much more important. Openly declaring pride is a challenge to those who would suppress that openness.

While many state legislatures are passing laws to suppress the rights of people on the gender and sexuality spectrum, Connecticut will salute them with events across the state.

The entire month of June, Pride celebrations are held in parks, nightclubs, stadiums, theaters, schools, malls, churches. Pride flags will fly at dozens of city halls.

Here is a list of Pride Month activities throughout the state. The list is not all-inclusive.
