Pride parade and festival returns to Boston for first time since 2019

The Pride Parade and festival is returning to Boston for the first time since 2019.

Boston Pride For The People (BP4TP) today announced the return of the month-long celebration.

The celebration will be held the entire month of June and will include a parade, a festival, and block parties. The parade and festival will take place on Saturday, June 10th on Boston Common and at City Hall Plaza.

“The last time we came together, there was a different President, a different Governor, a different Mayor,” said Adrianna Boulin, President of BP4TP and Director of Community Impact & Engagement at Fenway Health. “The pandemic kept us apart for a long time. Now, all of us are eager to reconnect, embrace each other as a community, and most importantly have fun.”

BP4TP, a new organization working with the city on the celebration has a mission to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people and also emphasize activities and experiences that empower, celebrate, educate, and commemorate the LGBTQ+ communities.

“Thank you so much to the organizers who have been working to build and ground the evolution of Pride in community,” said Boston Mayor Michelle Wu.

People who would like to make a difference and volunteer for any of the June 2023 activities can apply here.
