Prigge hires Justin Dueck as assistant coach

Jan. 23—University of Wyoming volleyball coach Kaylee Prigge announced the hiring of Justin Dueck as assistant coach Tuesday morning.

Dueck, a California native, will join the Cowgirls' staff at the end of January.

Dueck spent the previous two seasons as an assistant at Stony Brook University in New York. Prior to his time at Stony Brook, he was a volunteer assistant at Creighton for two seasons.

At Creighton, Dueck helped guide the Bluejays to a pair of Big East regular-season titles and two trips to the NCAA Tournament. In 2021, Dueck and the Bluejays won a program-record 31 matches.

While at Creighton, Dueck was responsible for coordinating travel for the team and oversaw compliance with NCAA rules. He also assisted with scouting, practice planning, on-court training and game-day operations. Dueck was also the supervisor for the team's managers and practice players, and assisted with summer volleyball camps.

Before joining the Creighton staff, Dueck spent the 2020 season in a similar role at Auburn. He spent the six previous seasons at Fresno Pacific before transitioning to Auburn.

Dueck also has experience coaching at both the high school and club ranks, including with indoor and beach volleyball teams.

Dueck received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific in 2017. Dueck then got his teaching credential in physical education in 2019.
