Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson Made a Rare Joint Appearance

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have been photographed together for the first time since he stepped down from royal duties following the scandal over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

The former couple was seen together on Thursday, putting together care packages for the Thames Hospice in Windsor amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Duchess of York's assistant, Antonia Marshall, shared the photos on Instagram, writing, "@sarahferguson15 and @hrhthedukeofyork packing all the care packages for @thameshospice in Windsor today. The York Family are a wonderful and steadfast unit and through this crisis, are continuously helping others. So proud of them all."

After a publicly decried interview with BBC about his friendship with Epstein, the Duke of York stepped back from royal duties and was dropped by his patronages.

Though they divorced in 1996, Ferguson and Prince Andrew, who share two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have remained close. Last year, she defended him amid his public scandal, writing in an Instagram post, "I am deeply supportive and proud of this giant of a principled man, that dares to put his shoulder to the wind and stands firm with his sense of honour and truth."

It is so rare to meet people that are able to speak from their hearts with honesty and pure real truth, that remain steadfast and strong to their beliefs. Andrew is a true and real gentleman and is stoically steadfast to not only his duty but also his kindness and goodness of always seeing the best in people. Last month, it was reported that Prince Andrew was not cooperating with investigators on their case on Epstein.

"Contrary to Prince Andrew’s very public offer to cooperate with our investigation into Epstein’s co-conspirators, an offer that was conveyed via press release, Prince Andrew has now completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation and our office is considering its options," U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said in response.
