Prince Charles and Camilla Reunited for Their 15th Anniversary Following Self-Isolation

Prince Charles and Camilla Reunited for Their 15th Anniversary Following Self-Isolation

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall have a momentous occasion to share on Thursday (April 9). It's their 15th wedding anniversary, and they're finally able to spend it together.

The pair are now spending time together (in person) at Birkhall, their Scottish home, following a period of self-isolation after Charles tested positive for coronavirus. After testing positive for COVID-19, Charles remained in isolation for seven days after originally receiving a positive diagnosis before emerging.

While this doesn't follow the current guidelines set forth by the CDC, it's appropriate under the current U.K. policies in place regarding the novel coronavirus pandemic. Camilla, however, did not test positive for coronavirus, but participated in self-isolation for 14 days after being in contact with Charles beginning on March 25.

Previously, Charles had spent his time alone in Birkhall, while Camilla had simply stayed in another part of their palace in the Scottish countryside. They had enough space so that they didn't have to leave each other's side, technically, and did their best to check in and keep an eye on each other during isolation.

"Both of them remain in good spirits," a palace source told People. "There is a sense of keeping calm and carrying on. The duchess is concerned for him but she is aware of his own good spirits and therefore is keeping a close eye on him and mindful of her own situation. She is upbeat."

Now that the pair are able to move about freely in their home and enjoy their time together, they'll be able to properly celebrate 15 years of wedded bliss. Hopefully we'll have some sort of update as to how they decided to commemorate this very special occasion.
