Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla stepped out together for the first time following Prince Philip's passing.

Today, both the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Marlborough House Gardens to view flowers, notes, and artwork left by members of the public in memory of the Duke of Edinburgh. The commemorative messages and floral arrangements were originally placed outside Buckingham Palace but have since been moved to the private gardens, as the public is being discouraged from gathering outside royal residences due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yesterday, the royal family shared a number of rare and never-before-seen images of the Duke of Edinburgh to celebrate and honor his life in the days leading up to his funeral ceremonies this weekend. Last Saturday, Prince Charles recorded a video statement expressing his grief over his father's passing and thanking the public for their well wishes and support.

"As you can imagine, my family and I miss my father enormously. He was a much loved and appreciated figure and apart from anything else, I can imagine, he would be so deeply touched by the number of other people here and elsewhere around the world and the Commonwealth, who also I think, share our loss and our sorrow," said Charles at the time.

"My dear Papa was a very special person who I think above all else would have been amazed by the reaction and the touching things that have been said about him and from that point of view we are, my family, deeply grateful for all that," continued Charles. "It will sustain us in this particular loss and at this particularly sad time."
