Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have broken plenty of royal rules, but it was especially exciting to see them do it when it came to the birth of royal baby Archie. First, they ditched the Lindo Wing and hospital photos, then they went with a non-traditional name. But recently, it was discovered that they also used a group chat to let their extended family members in on the arrival of their newborn.

According to The Telegraph, Mike Tindall (married to Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne) revealed that Prince Harry announced the birth of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor to his family in the royal WhatsApp group chat. The group chat is rumored to include not only Mike and Zara, but Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

In an interview with The Daily Mirror earlier this year, Mike revealed that there are several royal WhatsApp groups, however, each of which are generally used for various events.

“I wouldn’t say we’re cutting edge, but it’s just easier for some reason on WhatsApp. I’m in about 25,000 groups. You might do it for a get-together and just stay on the group, and occasionally people will post. You’re scared to leave because you don’t want to be seen to be rude,” he explained.

Has anything the royals have said ever sounded so relatable?

Prince Harry is the godfather to the Tindall's youngest daughter, Lena. In regards to Harry becoming a father though, Mike told The Telegraph that, "he'll be a great dad."
