Last night, Prince Harry made a moving speech at a private fundraiser for his charity, Senteble, which provides mental health support for children and young people living with HIV in South Africa.

While addressing the audience, he referenced both his "great sadness", at his decision separate from the royal family, and eight-month-old son Archie's newfound joy at life in Canada so far. This comes after speculation that Archie's lack of royal title could have hinted that his parents wanted to break free from the limelight long before they made their official announcement. It's also been reported that there will be a review of their new life with The Queen in a year's time.

Taking to the podium, Harry gave his heartfelt thanks to those in the room and shared an ultra cute anecdote about little Archie: "It has also been a privilege to meet so many of you, and to feel your excitement for our son Archie, who saw snow for the first time the other day and thought it was bloody brilliant!" One word: adorable. We can just imagine him in his sweet knitted bobble hat, eyes all lit up over the incredible powdery snow that Canada is famed for.

On the subject of stepping away from royal duties, according to a report from HELLO!, Harry also said, “The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges and I know I haven’t always got it right, but as far as this goes there really was no other option.” Very much making it clear that any anger directed towards Meghan is totally unwarranted. Amen to that, Harry!

Fingers crossed that we'll soon get to see a snapshot – or maybe even a video, if we're lucky – of Archie Mountbatten-Windsor frolicking in the Canadian snow very soon.
