  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being dragged for taking another private flight.

  • Meghan reportedly took a private jet to Ibiza for her birthday.

  • Harry was recently called a hypocrite for flying private to a Google conference on climate change.

Alright, either the royals truly do avoid reading reports about themselves and only read The Economist, or they are completely unbothered by what anyone says about them, as proven by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's latest reported trip on a private plane.

Seriously, just a couple weeks ago, critics called on Harry and the royal family to stop taking private planes all across the world because they pollute the environment way more than flying commercial does. Also, Harry and the royals talk about the importance of slowing climate change and protecting the environment a lot, so their flight preferences have come off as hypocritical to some people.

So, when reports that Meghan, Harry, and baby Archie flew on their friend's private jet to Ibiza for Meghan's birthday surfaced, people were like, again!? Here's one guy's take:

Of course, the reason they fly private so much could be because they're flying with big teams or because they have major security concerns since they're royals. But, according to Vanity Fair, former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe said that's not a legit reason, and they're not being great activists. He recalled:

"During my time at the palace most of the flights we took were commercial on British Airways, the national carrier ... We always flew commercial; in fact I don’t remember flying private. It’s no guarantee that the security is any better. You’re better off with BA security because they’re used to working with VIPs.”

He then added, "Harry can’t be preaching about the catastrophic effects of climate change whilst jetting around the world on a private plane ... Why put another plane in the air when you could go commercial?"

Now, you see, this is exactly why I don't fly in my personal private jet anymore. Not worth the backlash, for me, personally.
