The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expanding their family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed last month that they were expecting their second child together. The duke and duchess announced the exciting baby news on Valentine's Day, a sweet ode to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, who announced she was pregnant with Harry on the same day, decades prior.

"We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," read a statement from the couple's reps last month.

During the couple's sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry broke the news that the pair were expecting a baby girl who would be due come summertime.

The royal couple shared the news with a stunning black-and-white image captured by their friend and photographer, Misan Harriman, which saw Meghan resting her head in Harry's lap, wearing a gorgeous, custom made Carolina Herrera gown, as the two relaxed outside in their Montecito home's backyard. Meghan appeared to be a few months along in the shared image, and according to Us Weekly, the Duchess of Sussex is expected to give birth towards the end of spring, but that's yet to be confirmed. Meghan announced her first pregnancy in October 2018, about seven months before welcoming Archie on May 6, 2019.

The Sussexes's baby news comes after a major year of change for the couple. Both Prince Harry and Meghan stepped away from royal duties last year, and quickly relocated to the United States where they've since settled in Montecito, California. Both Meghan and Harry are expected to open up about their new lives in America and their growing family in an upcoming sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey, set to air on CBS this Sunday at 8 PM.
