The last time Prince Harry was in the UK was for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth, when he put on a unified front with his father and brother despite ongoing tensions. But as Prince Harry made a surprise public appearance in London today, it was understood that he was not expected to see Prince William and reported that he would not not see his father the King.

The Duke of Sussex was photographed this morning on his way into the High Court as a preliminary hearing began to determine whether legal action he and others are bringing against a UK newspaper group will go ahead. Harry is one of several high profile individuals alleging that journalists working for Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, engaged in illegal information gathering. The publisher denies the claims and is seeking to get the case struck out. The case is one of a number of legal actions that Prince Harry is involved with against U.K newspaper groups.

Town & Country understands that Prince William and his family are not at their Windsor home this week as the three children are on holiday from school for the Easter break. As a result, it is not expected that William and Harry will see each other while Harry is in the UK. The Telegraph also reported that King Charles was too busy to see his younger son. Charles and Camilla had been due to arrive in France last night for a State Visit which was cancelled at the last minute due to significant disruption in France over pension protests. Their visit to Germany will go ahead as planned later this week.

Harry’s trip to the UK is the first time he has been in the country since the release of his memoir Spare and his Netflix TV series, both of which spectacularly lifted the lid on his life as a royal. In his memoir, he detailed how he was attacked by William during an argument in 2019. The brothers' public fallout since has been well-documented.
