Prince Harry might be giving comedy a go as he lends his support to an event for military veterans in the U.S.

Harry, 36, will appear alongside people like Tiffany Haddish, Jon Stewart, and Bruce Springsteen for Stand Up for Heroes (SUFH), a night of entertainment which honours veterans and their families.

The night is organised by Bob Woodruff Foundation, and will be streaming online through Facebook, TikTok and Twitch as well as on ABC News this year.

Bob Woodruff, ABC News correspondent and co-founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation said: “For the last 14 years, the Stand Up for Heroes event has continued to inspire our nation and serves as a reminder of all of the brave individuals that have defended our country selflessly in our military.

“This year, it is especially important that we unite to show support for their sacrifices as we come together virtually to stand up for our heroes.”

Prince Harry was named as one of the special guests of the event, which promises “memorable surprises, and stories of resilience”.

However it’s not clear what Harry’s role in the evening will be, and his appearance is likely to be from his home in California.

During the first national lockdown in the UK, Harry’s brother William gave comedy a go, appearing in a Zoom call with Stephen Fry for the BBC’s Big Night In.

Showing his sense of humour, the Prince admitted teaching his three children had its challenges and joked about the TV schedules being disrupted by saying it was “hell without EastEnders”.

The royal asked if there was anything good on TV and Melchett suggested Netflix's Tiger King, to which Prince William replied: "I tend to avoid anything about royalty."

Speaking about the SUFH event, Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival and Carolines on Broadway added: “We owe so much to our brave military veterans and their families for the service and sacrifice to our country; it’s very humbling to have the opportunity to honour them over the last 14 years through this great event.”

The 14th annual Stand Up for Heroes event airs on Wednesday, 18 November 18 at 9pm EST (2am GMT) on ABC News Live, TikTok, Facebook, Cheddar, Twitch and Armed Forces Network.
