Prince William's ex-girlfriend was married on Saturday in a Christmas-time ceremony attended by the Prince of Wales.

Rose Farquhar and George Gemmell were married in a snow-blanketed Church of St Mary the Virgin in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

Ms Farquhar is a former girlfriend of Prince William, having dated him in the summer of 2000, after he had left Eton. She was reportedly the Prince's first serious girlfriend.

The daughter of Captain Ian Farquhar, master of the Beaufort Hunt, she has known the Prince since childhood.

The newlyweds were pictured leaving the church in the back of a vintage Land Rover, decked out in blankets and white ribbons.

The news of the couple's wedding was announced in September, with her father telling the Daily Mail at the time: "He could not be a more charming son-in-law for the future.

"The Gemmells have been friends of ours for years. We’re absolutely delighted."

Ms Farquhar, who studied acting in New York, appeared on the talent contest The Voice in 2016, when she auditioned with 'Anyone Who Had a Heart'.
