Prince William & Kate Middleton Get *Very* Competitive During Table Tennis Game

Prince William and Kate Middleton just showed off their competitive side during their latest royal outing. “This could go on for hours,” the prince noted.

Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week by stepping out for a full day of activities in Wolverhampton. The royal couple visited three local organizations, all of which support children and their mental wellbeing.

The first stop was The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone, where Prince William and Middleton participated in several outdoor activities, like planting flowers and chatting with kids about the importance of nature.

Middleton even tried her hand at archery, yelling “Terrible!” when she missed the target. Shortly after, Prince William challenged the duchess to a table tennis match. According to bystanders, the pair were comically competitive.

“Come on, Catherine!” Prince William said. When Middleton agreed to play, the duke added, “This could go on for hours. Talk amongst yourselves!”

After the visit, 14-year-old Keshia Riley told Hello! magazine about her conversation with the royal couple. “I asked them about their dog, and what they do to be active. They like to walk their dog and spend time with their kids,” she said. “They like to bake, as well, and make different foods with their family.”

Riley continued, “They asked questions about what we like to do. I spoke about how I like to dance. Catherine said how she loves to be in nature. She likes to go on walks, and is also interested in sport, as we saw outside with the table tennis. They are very competitive!”

Cheers to friendly competition!
