Everyone in the royal family is mourning the loss of the Duke of Edinburgh.

In a thank you note sent to well-wishers who shared their condolences after Prince Philip's death this spring, Prince William and Kate Middleton said that the late royal is missed by everyone in their family, including their their three children Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.

Earlier this week, the Instagram account Miss Royal Reply shared a picture of the note the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sent in reply to those who sent their condolences. The typed note, which was accompanied by a photo of Prince Philip, reads:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for your kind words following the death of the Duke of Edinburgh. Their Royal Highnesses have been incredibly moved by the many thoughtful messages they have received in recent weeks.

"They will all miss their much loved grandfather and great-grandfather, but your message has provided great comfort at this difficult time."

Prince Charles has also been sending sweet thank you notes to fans who have written with messages of support following his father's death.

“The Prince of Wales thanks you so much for your very kind message of sympathy. His Royal Highness has been enormously touched by the many generous messages that have been received in recent days; they have provided great comfort at this very sad time," the note from Charles' office read. "The Prince of Wales sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes.”

The Prince of Wales included a rare, black and white childhood photo of himself with his late father with his cards.
