Prince William sure does clean up nicely.

The Duke of Cambridge brought his fashion A-game on Tuesday night when he attended The Sun's Who Cares Wins awards, which honors healthcare workers—including doctors, nurses, midwives, volunteers, researchers and charity workers. Other event attendees included U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Rod Stewart and David Beckham. The annual award show held its first event back in 2017.

For the occasion, which took place at The Camden Roundhouse, William sported a black velvet tuxedo jacket, a matching bow tie and a pair of loafers. See his handsome look below.

This is the duke's first red carpet event since he and his family of five, including Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, attended a special pantomime performance at the Palladium Theatre in London last December. During the event, Prince William, Middleton and their mini-mes walked the red carpet wearing complementary ensembles.

However, no velvet tuxedo was involved. Instead, William opted for a navy-blue suit, which he paired with a red top. His ensemble coordinated with Prince George, who wore black pants and a striped sweater.

The Sun’s Who Cares Wins awards will air in the U.K. on Channel 4 this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. (No word on when we’ll be able to view the program here in the United States.)

A velvet suit is definitely our new favorite look for the Duke of Cambridge.
