Proving what a good sport he is, last night Prince William took part in a comedy sketch with none other than Stephen Fry as part of the BBC's charitable Big Night In. The TV show saw Children in Need and Comic Relief join forces for a fundraising night, ultimately raising £27 million for those affected by coronavirus.

Doing his bit for the cause, William starred in a segment with the theme of Blackadder. Acting alongside Stephen Fry, we were given a glimpse of the modern-day fictional world of Blackadder, where Fry's character of Lord Melchett had become Head of the Royal Household. Who knew!

As well as including gags about how "complicated" Zoom is, and how hectic the Duke is finding home-schooling the children, the sketch included one stonker of a joke about Netflix's popular Tiger King documentary. And it was delivered beautifully by William himself.

Just before we get to the joke itself, can we just take a moment to reflect on that fact that Prince William, an actual, legitimate member of the royal family, is now aware of the very being of Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin and all the crazy tiger antics surrounding them. Just... wow.

In the skit, William asks Lord Melchett/Stephen Fry: "By the way, have you seen anything good on TV? It's hell without Eastenders."

"Isn't it," replies Fry. "They tell me Tiger King is rather good?"

"Yes, I tend to avoid shows about royalty," William quips back, nodding solemnly. Brilliant. Just imagine what Joe Exotic would do with the knowledge of this joke.

You can watch the whole sketch below:

Of course, the whole point of it is that Prince William hasn't watched the documentary, naively mistaking the word 'King' in the title to assume it's about royalty. BUT, when the Duke of Cambridge got the script (written by Richard Curtis), he must have asked wtf Tiger King meant, getting someone to explain the joke to him. So that means he now probably has Joe Exotic, his crazy zoo, and his even crazier hatred of Carole Baskin somewhere in his royal conscious.

Let's just hope William and Kate haven't watched it; I don't think I could cope with them hearing all the talk of the Prince Albert.
