The prince also published a video that shows a Ukrainian woman saying that she can't return to Ukraine because her house in Chernihiv Oblast is near the Russian border.

Another woman from Poland, a volunteer, says that they promptly prepared the facility as a house for Ukrainians. Of the 300 staying there, half of them are children. The woman says that everyone is waiting for peace in Ukraine and for the opportunity to go back home.

"Thanks to the generosity of the Polish people, those fleeing the war in Ukraine have found shelter," the prince wrote.

"Sadly, the humanitarian crisis continues today with many refugees seeking shelter at accommodation centres like the one we’re visiting today."

"This centre provides two free meals a day, Polish language lessons, psychological and employment support, and even a free shop giving residents access to clothes and sanitary and hygiene products. It really is a sanctuary on the frontline of the humanitarian crisis," the message reads.

Prince William shared photos of him meeting with Ukrainian women and children, where he enjoyed a few games of table tennis.

"The welcoming community and supportive volunteers here are doing so much to help those in need," say the photos.

"It’s clear to see how the 300 Ukrainian women and children staying here can remain so positive having experienced such hardship," he concluded.

The Prince of Wales also visited Polish and British troops at the training ground in Rzeszow near the border with Ukraine. He met with Minister of National Defence of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak and inspected military equipment.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have supported Ukrainians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022. Like King Charles, they have met with Ukrainian refugees in the UK on numerous occasions.
