Princess Charlotte’s Nickname At School Was 'Warrior Princess' And I Am Here For It

From Women's Health

  • Princess Charlotte went by the nickname Warrior Princess in nursery school because of her adventurous spirit.

  • Charlotte just started her first year at St Thomas’s Battersea with her brother Prince George, where she’ll be known as Charlotte Cambridge.

Princess Charlotte just started her first day of school at St Thomas’s Battersea, and honestly, the entire thing has been ridiculously cute. Not only did we get a video from Kensington Palace of Charlotte walking to school with her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William (and her older brother, Prince George), but the palace also released a photo of her and George before school and it’s best described as !!!!!

And now? NOW it’s been revealed that Charlotte has a nickname. Or at least she had one in nursery school, and I’m definitely hoping it carries over. Royal reporter Katie Nicholl revealed in Vanity Fair that Charlotte was known as Warrior Princess at her £20,000-a-year Willcocks preschool, mostly because of “her love of the outdoors and her feisty and outgoing character.”

“Apparently, she earned that nickname because obviously she is a princess but she is quite a tomboy,” Nicholl also told Entertainment Tonight. “She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer.”

I think we can all agree this is extremely cute info, yes? And speaking of names, Charlotte and George go by ~different~ ones at their new school—by which I mean they’re known as Charlotte and George Cambridge (as in the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) instead of Prince and Princess. Makes sense!
