Fans point out Princess Charlotte's resemblance to Prince William in birthday photos

Royal fans think Princess Charlotte looks just like her dad, Prince William, in new pictures released to celebrate her seventh birthday.
Ahead of their daughter's seventh birthday yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released new pictures of the young royal and fans couldn't help but point out the resemblance to her father.
"Seven tomorrow!" the caption on the photos, which was shared to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Instagram account read.
In the images, Princess Charlotte cuddles up to the Cambridge family dog, Orla, in what seems to be a field of bluebells near the her family's country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
Princess Charlotte blended with the backdrop wearing a baby blue jumper layered over a white Peter Pan-collared shirt with polka dots.
She finished off the look with navy trousers and wore her long brown hair loose over her shoulders.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her seventh birthday tomorrow," the couple said in a statement on Sunday, adding that the duchess was the one who took the portraits.
Unsurprisingly, the series of stunning photos garnered a lot of attention from royal fans, clocking up over a million likes.
In amongst the birthday well-wishes, other fans pointed out just how similar the seven-year-old looks to her father, Prince William.
"William’s mini me," one fan wrote.
"I usually think she looks like The Queen but in this first one she resembles her dad," agreed another.
"She is the double of William," one more added.
"Oh my…she is Prince William with long hair," yet another fan commented.
The father/daughter resemblance hasn't gone unnoticed by the royals themselves either. During a visit to the Khidmat Centre in January 2020, the duke mistook a photo of himself as a child to be that of his young daughter.
"Is that me?" Prince William said. "Because that looks just like Charlotte. That is incredible."
His wife was in agreement about the resemblance. "It looks so much like Charlotte," she said.
But Prince William isn't the only member of the royal family Princess Charlotte is also said to resemble, with other fans claiming she looks just like her majesty the Queen.

To celebrate their daughter's fifth birthday in 2020 her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton released a selection of new pictures of her volunteering to mark the occasion.
They revealed the youngster delivering fresh, homemade pasta to vulnerable and isolated pensioners near the family’s Norfolk country home of Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate.
However, many royal fans couldn’t help but notice just how much she looked just like the Queen.
One person wrote that all could see is “the Queen’s timeless face and expression” in the picture.

While Charlotte looks like her dad or her great, grandmother, her younger brother, Prince Louis, 4, is said to have some of the characteristics of his mother the Duchess of Cambridge.
In new pictures released to mark his birthday last week, there appears to be something of a resemblance between Kate Middleton and her youngest child — something she herself has previously acknowledged.
"Everyone always comments on how Louis is the spitting image of Kate," a friend previously told PEOPLE, adding: "She loves it and thinks it's very sweet, she often jokes that he's the only one of her kids who actually looks like her!"
