Princess Cruises is offering up to 40% off cruises and reduced deposits through May

If you've been thinking about booking a cruise, now might be the time to go for it. Princess Cruises is offering up to 40% off select voyages and reduced deposits of $100 through early May, the cruise line said Thursday.

The deal applies to a wide range of destinations like the Caribbean, Alaska, Japan, Mexico and more.

Those voyages include a five-day cruise sailing round-trip from Fort Lauderdale on Oct. 31 with stops in Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos and the line's private destination in the Bahamas, Princess Cays, as well as a 13-day round-trip sailing from Tokyo with stops including Hiroshima and Busan, South Korea, leaving Nov. 18. Travelers can find a full list of included cruises on the line's website.

What are the terms and conditions of the Princess Cruises deal?

The deal is valid for new bookings made by North American residents through May 2 for select voyages. The fare discount is based on standard fares "on a space-available basis" at the time passengers book, according to the cruise line's website.

The $100 deposit portion of the offer only applies to full, standard deposits. The offer will not further bring down the price of deposits that are already discounted or reduced, and sailings for which final payment is already due are not eligible.
