Princess Eugenie Just Shared the Sweetest Throwback on Her Instagram: 'What a Year It's Been'
Princess Eugenie couldn’t wait until Thursday to share this throwback!
The Queen’s granddaughter, 28, and husband Jack Brooksbank, 33, celebrated a special occasion on Tuesday – the one-year anniversary of sharing news of their engagement with the world.
“#tbt to exactly this day last year – Jack and I announced our engagement,” Eugenie wrote on Instagram. “What a year it’s been since then and how exciting for 2019.”
In the photo, the couple admired Princess Eugenie‘s engagement ring – a blush-colored padparadscha sapphire ring surrounded by diamonds, not unlike the Burmese ruby ring that her father Prince Andrew proposed to Sarah Ferguson with, inspired by Fergie’s red hair.
Jack – the U.K. brand ambassador for Casamigos, the tequila company founded by George Clooney and Rande Gerber – popped the question to Eugenie during a vacation in Nicaragua. The royal revealed for the first time earlier this month that Jack proposed on New Year’s Day.

The happy couple have been basking in their post-wedding glow since tying the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Oct. 12 (the same venue for Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding!). Jack adorably wore his glasses so he could see his bride walk down the aisle – and Eugenie chose a bridal gown that showed off the scar from her scoliosis surgery.

Last month, Jack joined Eugenie for their first Christmas Day service together alongside the rest of the royal family.
The couple live together at Ivy Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, just steps from Meghan and Harry’s Nottingham Cottage and Will and Kate’s home with their three children.
