PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — The principal and assistant principal at Edgemont Elementary School have been placed on administrative leave, though the school district has not explained what led to that decision.

Principal Harmony Kartchner and Asst. Principal Desiree Olsen are under an active investigation, according to school officials. The Provo City School District said Dr. Karen Brock has been named as interim principal at the school pending an ongoing investigation at the school.

According to Provo City School District Director of Communications Caleb Price, “…the district is actively working to provide the school with the support they need during this transition.”
