Principal swap in Norwalk City Schools

Jun. 20—NORWALK — A "principal swap" will be announced at Tuesday night's Norwalk City Schools board of education meeting.

Norwalk High School Assistant Principal Nick Kish will move to League Elementary as principal, while League Elementary Principal Adam Kreischer will take over Kish's position as NHS assistant principal.

Kreischer recently was named head boys' basketball coach at NHS. Kish arrived to Norwalk for the 2021-22 school year and had replaced Patrick Kania, who moved from assistant to principal at NHS after Brad Cooley was named the new superintendent last summer.

Main Street Principal Dan Bauman is also moving. He will head to the board office to become director of operations, replacing Corey Ream, who was hired as the new superintendent of the Edision School District earlier this month.

The moves still leave an opening for the principal position at Main Street School.

Monday was a holiday and Cooley was unavailable for comment.

The board meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fisher-Titus Learning Center at Norwalk High School.
