The principals of Pickerington Local Schools' two high schools have been placed on administrative leave while the district investigates "non-related complaints" involving each principal, the district announced Tuesday.

Stacy Tennenbaum, principal at Pickerington Central High School, and Mark Ulbrich, principal at Pickerington North High School, have been temporarily reassigned to work at the central administrative offices, the district announced on its website and in communications to district families.

The reason for the actions was not disclosed.

"It is the practice of the District to not publicly discuss personnel matters; therefore, we cannot provide further information at this time," the announcement stated.

The administrative leaves were apparently planned, as the district stated it made arrangements "to ensure sufficient administrative coverage was available." The district's notice noted that "the principals were not escorted out of their respective schools."

Crystal Davis, Pickerington Local's public information spokesperson, could not be reached Tuesday night.

Who are Stacy Tennenbaum and Mark Ulbrich?

Tennenbaum has been with Pickerington Local School District for more than 27 years, since August 1994. She was a high school assistant principal with the district from August 2010 through November 2014 before becoming principal at Pickerington Central.

She has a bachelor's degree in physical education from Ohio University, a master's degree in education leadership and a principal's license from the University of Dayton, and has a superintendent's license from Ohio State University.

Tennenbaum is married and has two adult children, according to her biography on the district's website.

Ulbrich, who has been principal at Pickerington North since August 2014, was active on his Twitter account as recently as Tuesday afternoon, but made no mention of the administrative leave.

He has more than 30 years in teaching and education, including the last 17 as an administrator. He was previously an administrator in Zanesville City and Marysville Local school districts.

Ulbrich has a master's degree in educational leadership and a bachelor's degree in political science, both from Muskingum University.

His wife and two of his three adult children are teachers.
