Today in Milan, she swiped on her signature bold lip for a fashion week event, adding one Italian-inspired update.

At Vogue Japan's 20th anniversary party, Chopra Jonas slipped on a shimmering three piece suit, complete with a Bvlgari necklace and a shade of lady-like pink on her nails. When it came to lipstick, "I wanted to play with texture," celebrity makeup artist Vincent Oquendo explained on the phone from Milan this morning. "I wanted to go with a super matte red lip." To ensure the finish was nowhere near shiny, the pro dabbed on a crimson Shiseido shade and patted Shiseido's face silk powder over the lipstick, saving the shimmer for those cheekbones. "I kept her skin really fresh," he noted, "to give it that otherworldly glow."

And while the newlywed has been known to sport a punchy pout, previously wearing shades of bright fuchsia and glossy lilac, this cherry red hue was accompanied by a set of deeply parted retro glam waves—perhaps a nod to her host country's iconic beauties.
