Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are parents!

The couple welcomed their first child, the Quantico actress announced in an Instagram post on Friday. "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate," Chopra said in the statement. "We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."

The couple first started dating in 2016 and tied the knot two years later in two blowout wedding ceremonies held in the Indian city of Jodhpur.

Earlier this month, Chopra spoke about expanding her family with Jonas in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

"They're a big part of our desire for the future," she told the magazine on the possibility of having a baby. "By God's grace, when it happens, it happens." While the two are busy in their respective careers, she also joked that they're "not too busy to practice" making a baby.

Last year, Chopra also spoke on how they make their long-distance marriage work.

"This year has been really, really tough. It was really, really tough to be away from home for an entire year, especially at a time when you can't travel to see your family," she said on InStyle's Ladies First with Laura Brown podcast, per People. "Just the uncertainty of my mom and my brother being in India, my husband being in America while I was in the U.K. It just was so much uncertainty and that, to me, was terrifying of not being able to just get on a flight and travel, just in case something went wrong or something happened. But thankfully, you know, everyone was okay."

Chopra explained that having to quarantine every time they saw each other could throw a wrench in their busy professional schedules. "We know each other's hearts and we prioritize each other in everything that we do. We've had individual careers and we're both very clear about never interfering in each other's professional lives because we're always partners and assets," she continued. "We'll have an opinion on each other's things, we'll be each other champions but those decisions are predominantly for both of us to take, because we've built our careers by ourselves for such a long time."
