Pro-Abortion Rights Protesters March in Wisconsin Ahead of Supreme Court Justice Election

Pro-abortion rights protesters marched in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sunday, January 22, marking the 50th anniversary of Roe v Wade and raising awareness ahead of the state’s election of a new Supreme Court justice.

The march, dubbed Bigger Than Roe, took place in the Wisconsin state capital, with similar marches across the country, Women’s March said.

Abortions are currently illegal in Wisconsin following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade on June 24th, according to Abortionfinder.org.

March organizers told local media that the Bigger Than Roe march was partly aimed at influencing voters in Wisconsin’s upcoming Supreme Court justice election, with the organization hoping for a pro-abortion rights justice on April 4. Credit: Women’s March Rockford via Storyful
