Rosters have been announced for the Pro Football Hall of Fame East-West All-Star Football Game, which is 7 p.m., Saturday, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The game showcases some of the area's top graduated seniors from the 2021 season.

The rosters, as of Monday, are highlighted by four first-team All-Ohio players from last fall — the Hoover duo of defensive lineman Michael Shimek and kicker Robby Smart, Massillon two-way lineman Jaiden Woods and Green receiver Trey Martin.

Shimek and Smart are on the East. Woods and Martin are on the West.

Martin was the state's co-offensive player of the year in Division II last fall after helping Green reach the state semifinals (beating Massillon in a regional final). Two teammates who played a big role in Martin's record-breaking success as a receiver, quarterback Trevor Van Horn and offensive lineman CJ Dawson, Green, also are on the West roster. They each earned second-team all-state honors.

Three other second-team all-state performers are on the West — linebacker-defensive end Riley Campbell of Massillon, linebacker Logan Brady of Lake, and running back-safety Hunter Campbell of Fairless. Others on the West who received all-state honors in 2021 are Canton South receiver Caleb Lott (third team) and Central Catholic two-way lineman Benjamin Hopkins (honorable mention).
