Pro Pets: Cubs Pitcher Derek Holland introduces fans to is french bulldog Bruce

"I got Bruce when Wrigley was getting older and we needed to get him some energy," says Cubs' pitcher Derek Holland. "Wrigley passed away from cancer a week before I got here. Bruce was the enlightenment."

Our series Pro Pets presented by Nissan wraps up with Derek Holland, a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. His dog passed away a week before he was traded to the Cubs so Holland had cleats made with Wrigley's picture, as well as Bruce's picture. It only seemed right that Derek wore them for his Wrigley debut.

Every morning, Derek wakes up to Bruce in his face, paw on his shoulder. Certainly a great companion to have before and after the games. While he misses Wrigley immensely, he is happy to have his buddy Bruce.
