Pro track and field: Lewiston's Isaiah Harris runner-up in 800 at US indoor nationals

Feb. 18—Isaiah Harris finished second in the men's 800-meter run final at the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Saturday with a time of 1:46.42.

The Lewiston native started the race in lane five and was in third place after the first two laps. He made a move for first in the middle of the third of four laps.

Harris was passed off the final turn on lap four by Bryce Hoppel, who won the event with a time of 1:45.92.

Vincent Crisp (1:46.74) finished third, Devin Dixon (1:46.77) came in fourth, and Colin Schultz (1:46.82) and Clayton Murphy (1:48.23) rounded out the six racers.

Harris entered Saturday's final with best qualifying time from Friday's heat races, with a mark of 1:46.72.
