Long gone are the “days” – or at least for the time being.

The long-running NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives” has suspended production for two weeks after a member of the production crew tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Deadline, the person who tested positive as a result of the show’s strict protocol, is now in isolation. People who came in close contact with the affected individual have also been placed in quarantine for a period of 14 days.

The actions, “taken out of an abundance of caution,” also include deep cleaning and disinfecting of the daytime drama’s production facilities at the Burbank Studios, the outlet reported.

Taping is set to resume Oct. 26 and “Days of Our Lives” airdate schedule won’t be impacted by the shutdown.

In its 56th season, the Emmy Award-winning television staple resumed filming on Sept. 1, making it the last of the four broadcast daytime serials to restart production – partly due to the fact that “Days of Our Lives” had many more episodes already filmed before the pandemic production shutdowns in March.

CBS' “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” and ABC’s “General Hospital” resumed production in June and July.

To date, more than 214,000 people in America have died due to the deadly virus.
