‘Profound delays’ getting longer as another I-285 lane shuts down

Nearly two weeks after an eastbound lane of I-285 closed down for eight months of construction, the Georgia Department of Transportation is closing a westbound lane.

GDOT will close a westbound lane between Ashford Dunwoody Road and Roswell Road on Saturday, October 22.

The eastbound lane will remain closed.

GDOT’s Natalie Dale told Channel 2 Action News before the eastbound lane shut down that drivers should expect “profound delays.” With another lane shutting down, drivers can expect those delays to increase.
