On Friday, USC forward Evan Mobley announced on Twitter that he will be declaring for the 2021 NBA draft after a strong freshman campaign with the Trojans.

Mobley was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year after averaging 16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 2.4 assists in 33 games. He helped lead USC to the Elite Eight after finishing with the second-most wins (25) in program history.

The 7-foot product is widely considered to be a top-five pick in the draft given his skill set and size size. Mobley proved to be dominant in the paint last season and has the potential to be a strong defender at the next level given his length.

Given his size and skill set, Mobley is projected to be selected within the top three picks in the draft. His tools on both ends of the floor make him a prized possession this year as he has been touted as the top collegiate big man in quite some time.

The NBA draft is set to take place on July 29.
