BASEBALL
Division I
Lincoln 8, Moses Brown 7
Jayden Champagne was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI, Caden Specht belted a solo home run and Gian Coppolino doubled in two runs as Lincoln rallied for five runs in the final two innings to edge Moses Brown. Donavon Lopez picked up the win in relief. The Quakers were led by Tyler Boudreau, who had two hits and three RBI and Tucker Dewolf, who had two knocks and drove in two.
Division III
Mount Pleasant 6, Pawtucket 5
The Kilties' Carlos Roquez had a single and double and scored twice and teammate Leo Nunez also had two hits as Mount Pleasant edged Pawtucket. Edward Roquez also had a pair of singles in the win. On the mound, Roquez struck out eight over 5⅔ innings to earn the W. Ethan Torres had three singles and scored twice for the Shea-Tolman team.
Rogers 13, Scituate 2
Ben Borgueta went 2-4 with a walk and two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base, and Shane Marshall chipped in with a two-run single and relievers Nixon Brownell and Marshall held the Spartans scoreless over the final two innings as Rogers rolled to a win that ended after five innings as a result of the 10-run rule.
SOFTBALL
Division III
Mount St. Charles 16, Roger 0
Brooke Forget had three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs, and Bella Mencarini was 3-for-3, reached base four times and scored four times as the Mounties cruised to a 16-0 victory. Starter Olivia Young picked up the win as she pitched a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts in the game shortened because of the 10-run rule.
BOYS LACROSSE
Division I
La Salle 24, Hendricken 1
Drew Bradley finished with 10 points, which included eight goals, Matt Hayes scored four goals and assisted on three others, and Colby Fagin and Brighton Got each had three goals and two assists as the Rams cruised.
Division IV
North Smithfield 13, Scituate 10
A nine-point game by Dan Neri, coupled with four goals and two assists from Logan Whitton helped the Northmen to victory. The Spartans were led by Bailey Frost, a freshman who had six goals and four assists, and Brady Scanlon who had a pair of goals and two assists.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Division I
Portsmouth 18, La Salle 9
Margaux Boneu and Sophia Sebolt each scored five goals and Emilie Bobola added four as Portsmouth doubled up on La Salle. Addison Towey scored five goals for the Rams.
Division II
Pilgrim 9, Toll Gate 8
Mary Centracchio scored four goals and Lily Farell added two more in what was her first varsity game as the Patriots slipped past the Titans. Kara Yelman had the hat trick for Toll Gate.
BOYS TENNIS
Division II
West Warwick 4, Cranston West 3
West Warwick's third doubles team of Oliver Green and Kyle Flor defeated Erick Silva and John Quattrocchi, 6-1, 6-2, in what proved to be the deciding point in the Wizards' victory over Falcons. The Wizards improved to 2-0.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Division I
Classical 3, Chariho 2
Teddy Wallace had 20 kills and 2 blocks, James Men had 28 assists and 2 aces as the Purple upended the Chargers 25-14, 25-22, 24-26, 14-25, 15-8. Matthew Tiernan had 18 kills and 3 aces and Brandon Knowles had 13 kills and 1 block for Chariho in the loss.
Division II
Barrington 3, Central 0
SangMin Park amassed 25 assists, 5 aces and 4 digs, Cam Kelley added 11 kills and 4 digs, and Maddox Godwin chipped in with 5 kills, 2 aces and 7 digs as the Eagles swept the Knights, 25-15, 25-16, 25-14, in their season-opening match.
Nonleague
Westerly 3, East Providence 0
Jack Kenyon finished with 8 blocks, 4 kills and 3 digs and an ace as he led the Division I Bulldogs to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-14 sweep of the Division II Townies.
