ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital shifts leadership

ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital's management will shift with President Dan Schwanke's announced retirement effective on Dec. 31.

Alan Sattler, 61, will move into the role of president of P.C.R.H. effective Jan. 1. Sattler becomes chief operating officer of the Coldwater hospital immediately to facilitate a seamless transition.

Sattler served as president of ProMedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio, for more than five years. With ProMedica for 37 years, Sattler served in a number of critical operational and financial positions within ProMedica hospitals and ProMedica Physicians.

The Toledo University graduate was business development, sales, and marketing executive at ProMedica for the last six years.

Schwanke, 67, was the hospital's president in 2019 when the Toledo-based health system purchased and merged the county-owned Community Health Center of Branch County.

Schwanke served ProMedica for more than three decades. During that time, he served in a variety of roles, including president of ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital and ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.
