Prominent event returns to Freeport after multiyear hiatus

A once prominent event in Stephenson County is returning this weekend.

The Stephenson County Home Show will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stephenson County Fairgrounds, 2250 S. Walnut Ave.

The show annually features area businesses including investment companies, contractors, communications experts, healthcare providers, insurance agents, landscaping contractors, heating and air conditioning contractors and furniture and appliance dealers.

It will be the first Stephenson County Home Show since 2017. The Greater Freeport Partnership and community sponsors are the ones who revived the event.

“The home show is a great opportunity for contractors in Stephenson County to showcase the work and products that make our homes and property more efficient and more beautiful,” said Bill Clow, business engagement director of the Partnership. “We saw a need from our residents and area contractors and are happy to bring the home show back to Stephenson County again.”

The home show is free to attend thanks to multiple sponsors, including ABC Supply, Citizens State Bank and the Stephenson County Fairgrounds.
