The Property Brothers FaceApp Challenge Revealed Something Surprising
HGTV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott did the FaceApp Challenge and shared their photo on Instagram.
Fans of The Property Brothers immediately started pointing out their resemblance to actors Tim Allen and Tom Hanks.
FaceApp first went viral in 2017 and has resurfaced thanks to celebrities.
On Tuesday, a quick scroll through Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter feeds revealed a flood of FaceApp photos showcasing what everyone would look like in a few decades. Quite a few HGTV stars, including Chip and Joanna Gaines and Hidden Potential’s Jasmine Roth, took part in the Challenge, sharing their own portraits. But it was The Property Brothers’ Drew and Jonathan Scott who looked oddly familiar after applying the aging filter.
“When asked how long we plan to renovate houses,” The Property Brothers account wrote on Instagram alongside a shot of the duo aged several decades.
Fans of The Property Brothers immediately started pointing out the resemblance they had to two famous actors: Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. “This looks a little bit like Tim Allen and Tom Hanks did on the Toy Story 4 interview circuit,” one person wrote.

Other viewers went back and forth about Drew’s look in particular, saying, “Drew kind of looks like Tim Allen [from] Santa Clause,” while another commented, ““Why does this app make @mrdrewscott look like a long lost old relative of Tom Hanks?!”
“You guys look like Tim Allen!” one person decided. Regardless of who fans thought the twins looked like, many agreed that they still looked great.
“You're both handsome old men,” a fan wrote. “’l’ll follow you till then. I may probably die first but who cares?” one person said. And the aging filter only made a viewer trust the duo even more, saying, “The only men I can trust.”
