Property and Trees Damaged as Derecho Storm Rips Through New Jersey

A powerful storm system brought “wind damage, power outages and the first derecho in New Jersey since 2012” on June 3, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

The National Weather Service confirmed that wind gusts and damage had hit New Jersey, as NJ.com reported the storm generated wind as strong as 89 mph in Ocean County and 70 to 80 mph in other parts of the state.
