How to protect your pets during dangerous cold snap

You are not the only one who will be cold this weekend. Your pets will also experience potentially record-breaking cold that we have not seen in years. The Animal Rescue League of Boston is sharing some tips on keeping your furry friends safe during the dangerous weather. Bring any outdoor cats inside and before starting your car, check under the hood for any cats that may have snuggled up near the warm engine. Keep bathroom breaks brief for dogs and never leave them in a cold car. “If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for your pet to be outside,” said Mike DeFina, spokesman for ARL Boston. Bottom line, keep all outdoor time as limited as possible during the cold snap.
