Attorney General Miyares to Participate in a Protecting Kids Online Town Hall Tuesday

Attorney General Jason Miyares will be in Colonial Heights on Tuesday, February 27th for a Protecting Kids Online Community Town Hall. Townhall participants will speak on the main dangers that minors can face with unfettered access to the web — including mental health issues, screen addiction and vulnerability to online predators — and the steps that parents and guardians can take to protect children from these.

The Town Hall, which is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m., will take place at Life Church on 16801 Harrowgate Rd. In addition to Attorney General Miyares, panelists will include a parent testimonial, Life Church Pastor Delegate Mike Cherry, Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children’s Special Agent Courtney Goode and Donna Rice Hughes, President and CEO of nonprofit organization aimed to make the internet safer for children Enough is Enough.
